The Louvre

The Louvre is a 307,000 square-foot, six-storey apartment building with two floors of parkade in South Edmonton. The project was started in May 2020 and the structural concrete was completed by November 2020 - three months ahead of schedule.

blue hills wind farm

Blue Hills Wind Energy Project is a 177-megawatt wind energy facility developed and operated by Algonquin Power Co. It included the supply and install of 35 bases with an aggressive 10-week schedule. By the end of the project, we were exceeding the scheduling and completing the supply and install of 6 bases a week.

champion pet foods

Champion Pet Foods was the construction of a 400,000 square foot pet food facility that prepares both kibble, freeze dried pet food and treats. Construction was started in 2017 and completed in 2019. During the slab construction, McNish Steel supplied and installed 620 MT of rebar in one month.

fox towers I & II

Fox Towers are two side by side high-rise condo projects in downtown Edmonton. Fox One is a 29-storey tower made up of 142 suites; Fox Two is a 35-storey tower with 169 suites. Both towers sit on-top of 6-storey parkades, office and retail space. Construction began in 2012 and both towers were completed by 2017. The structural concrete was completed 2 weeks ahead of schedule.

eagle gold project

The Eagle Gold Project, owned by StrataGold Corporation, is a gold property located 85 km from Mayo. It is an open pit mine with a heap leach process. The project started June 2018 and concrete was completed by January 2019. McNish Steel supplied and installed over 1,800 MT of rebar in less than 6 months.

Art gallery of alberta

The Art Gallery of Alberta is a public art gallery located in downtown Edmonton. Originally built in 1968, the gallery underwent an 88 million dollar renovation in 2010. The newly renovated 85,000 square-foot space includes almost double the exhibition space of the original building. During construction, the structure was divided into several complex components, and kept organized using BIM technology.

hwy 15 bridge project

The Highway 15 twinning project near Fort Saskatchewan will see a second bridge built over the North Saskatchewan River. Construction on the bridge has already begun but the twinning of HWY 15 will not be completed until 2021. McNish Steel supplied all the reinforcing for the cages for this large infrastructure project.

Botanica phase I

The Botanica is a luxury multi-phase condominium development located in the heart of St. Albert overlooking the Sturgeon River. Completed in August 2017, the 280,000 sq foot project was the first condominium project for Boudreau Developments. It included a three-storey, cast in place underground parkade with six storeys of load-bearing steel stud on top.

bowden grain terminal

On August 24, 2018 Paterson Grain’s new Foothills grain terminal was officially opened. The new terminal can store 2,225,000 bushels of grain, ship 75,000 bushels per hour and clean 8,800 bushels per hour. McNish Steel supplied and installed all the reinforcing for this project.
